Gloves and mountain biking go together. Good gloves and mountain biking are awesome. Great gloves and mountain biking? That's Specialized XC Lite Gloves. Ripping fast descents, grinding climbs, tight turns, branches and thorn bushes, there are endless reasons why gloves are essential in the woods. But, you're also in the woods. It can get humid under the green canopy in the summer months of the year and before long, you're gloves can get stiff and smelly from sweat.
Previously I had simply bought some full fingered Fox gloves. They must be good, right? No ventilation, clammy, and smelly: no, not so good. Then I saw the XC Lites and thought the design looked interesting. It is very minimalistic in the palm and the back of the hand. I'm not sure how it would handle repeated DH racing crashes, but for XC, they could be perfect.
Hundreds of miles later, I'm a happy camper. With a tight fit, breathable fabric and even a spot on the thumbs for snot (my favorite feature!) these are an all around winner. When racing for hours on end in an NUE race, having something that takes good care of your hands is a huge relief!
Good work on this one Specialized.
