Spy has a full range of glasses with a bit of everything for any application. Previously, I wore their Screw exclusively for riding on and off-road. It is a fantastic performance shade with perfect ventilation, protection and good on-your-face feel. Then, I tried their new Daft, and I was even more impressed. Everyone has their own opinion about frame-less glasses, but one un-arguable fact is that you have an increased field of vision. A larger lens offers more facial coverage and protection (especially good for single track mountain biking) which makes it hard to dislike the frame-less design.
The glasses I got came with a dark smoke colored lens and a yellow high contrast lens. The lenses swap faster than any glasses I have ever owned and in 10 seconds I can have the yellow lens in for cloudy days or night riding. On the road and trail the extra field of vision is awesome and very noticeable, more than I thought it would be. I was a bit worried that the smaller Scoop Vent would not provide the same level of ventilation, but it seems to vent just as well as the Screw glasses do!
With the Daft, Spy made a winner for any riding application. One that is light on your face, sticks even when sweaty and that offers superior venting performance to other brands. Having put hundreds of miles on the bike with these glasses, I'm confident that you can't go wrong with the Daft's
